Shadow the 2021 Booker Prize shortlist

The Booker Prize is the leading literary award in the English speaking world, and had brought recognition, reward and readership to outstanding fiction for over 50 years. Each year, the prize is awarded to what is, in the opinion of the judges, the best novel of the year written in English and published in the UK. It is a prize that transforms the winner’s career.

This year’s longlist was announced on Tuesday 27 July and you can find out all about it on our News page.

Reading groups are invited to pitch for their opportunity to shadow the Booker Prize this year. Twelve groups will be selected and will receive a set of copies of one of the shortlisted books. In exchange, the groups will read and review the shortlisted title with their group and take part in #2021BookerPrize conversations online, joining in discussions about the books and sharing comments and pictures.

All groups are welcome to apply. We particularly welcome applications from groups of young adults, students, and those who are active on social media.

To apply, please log in and fill in your details below by 20 September.
