Would your reading group like to be on the telly?

The Reading Agency has been asked to help find a London-based reading group to be filmed for a UKTV show to be filmed on Thursday 10 July at 6 or 7pm.

The venue has yet to be confirmed as this will be arranged with the selected group to make it as convenient as possible.

The show’s producer says: “I am producing a new entertainment show for UKTV featuring a performer called Katherine Mills, for want of a better descriptions, she is a female Derren Brown.

”We would very much like to host a performance next Tuesday (1st of July) with a fun and friendly London based reading group/book club. The performance, without revealing any method or too much detail, is all about literature, words and social groupings. It is for pre-watershed transmission and is therefore fun and exciting but not distasteful or objectionable in any way.

“I would imagine needing a group of about six to 12 in size and would for the sake of convenience need them to all be over 18. We have no upward age limit. I only ask that they be fun and willing to participate.

”We will source an appropriate location so no need to worry about venues and we will of course reimburse any participants travel expenses etc."

In addition, we would ask that the selected reading group wear a Reading Agency T-shirt, which will be sent to the venue when we know where that is.

How to get involved

Does this this like your reading group? Please email Natasha Roe if you’d like to take part and we will put you in touch with the producers.
