The Bell Jar at 50 project: meet the Beddow Library Reading Activists

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the publication of Sylvia Plath’s modern classic The Bell Jar, we have recruited five reading groups to read, review and blog about the book.

I work part-time at Debenhams and in my spare time I enjoy reading, going out with friends, eating and watching films. I’m also interested in fashion and music, My top three reads are The Bell Jar (which is why I’m enthusiastic about taking part in this project), The Catcher in the Rye by J D Salinger and Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, I am a keen writer and enjoy writing poetry in my spare time and I hope to be poet/playwright or journalist when I leave university
