We are really pleased to announce the winner of our Galaxy National Book Awards%=prop%%3E competition that celebrated all the great crime and thriller novels on this year’s Galaxy National Book Awards shortlist. The winning reading group is the North London Book Group for their video review of SJ Watson Before I Go to Sleep who will receive a set of iPads.
SJ Watson, bestselling novelist and this year’s Galaxy National Book Awards Crime and Thriller of the Year winner, competition judge, said:
“I was amazed at the high standard of the entries in the competition, and choosing a favourite was extremely difficult. Particular mention must go to the review from the Gateshead Library, which was extraordinary. In the end, though, my favourite entry was from the North London Book group, which was entertaining, extremely well made and I thought presented a balanced view of the book.”
Reading groups and book clubs were invited to make a video review of Galaxy National Book Award shortlisted titles by Ian Rankin, CJ Samson, Robert Harris, Val McDermid, Martina Cole or SJ Watson. It didn’t have to be long – but it did need to entertain us.
