Share Your Passion at Dorset Libraries Readers' Day

If you live in Dorset and would like to share your passion for reading and writing then get along to Dorset Libraries’ Readers’ Day Sharing the Passion on Saturday 10 March 2012 where you’ll be able to meet writers, poets, find out more about support for reading groups and experiment with doing Flash Fiction.

The following workshop sessions are being run – when you book do state which four you would like to go along to in order of preference.

An Audience with Patrick Gale
Patrick will talk about his forthcoming novel, and the skills required to write Flash Fiction. Session includes a Flash Fiction writing exercise.

Supporting Reading Groups
Join Tracey Guiry from Cyprus Well to hear about support for reading and writing groups in the South West.

Meet Local Author Natasha Solomons
Find out what personal and local influences Natasha draws on for her writing, and enjoy readings from her books.

Writing Poetry with Rosie Jackson
Share your passion for poetry with Rosie, a Somerset based writer and poet, This will be an interactive poetry workshop for aspiring and established poets.

Celebrate Fiction with Bob Sharpe
Listen to national crime award judge Bob’s passion and knowledge on two of his loves – The History of Crime Writing, and the Life and Writings of Oscar Wilde.
