Since September, people around Gloucestershire have been reading books as part of Gloucestershire libraries’ new Twitter book club. Now readers are getting the chance to meet the authors.
On Thursday 6 December, three of the book club authors, Sarah Moss, Night Waking; Amy Sackville, The Still Point and Francesca Brill, The Harbour, will be at Cirencester Library for a free question and answer event with readers. The author of Black Water Rising, Attica Locke, will be part of the discussion live by video link. The event takes place from 6-9pm on 6 December. To book a place, email Gloucestershire Libraries.
Join in the READiscover Twitter Book Club
Every month the Club reads two books, November’s titles are Attica Locke Black Water Rising and Sarah Moss’ Night Waking.
To take part in the Club, follow Gloucestershire Libraries on Twitter @GlosLibs and join in the discussion using the hashtag: #readiscover.
Gloucestershire Libraries will be answering your queries, raising points for discussion and finding out what you thought all month. It’s not too late to get hold of one of the November books and start tweeting.
Gloucestershire Libraries members can claim a free copy of the Book Club selected titles – tweet @Gloslib to find out how you can get hold of your book. It’s free to join the library – join online or at your local library.
Gloucestershire Libraries are running the Twitter Book Club in partnership with Bloomsbury, Serpent’s Tail and Granta.
It is part of The Reading Agency’s Digital Skills Sharing Project and an Arts Council England Library Development Initiative projects and run in partnership with the Publisher’s Association. For more information, please contact Jo Ellis.
