Quick Reads 2013 titles announced

Quick Reads are bite sized books by big name authors and celebrities.They are perfect to engage people with reading as they are short and use clear language but still have fast-paced, brilliant storylines.The Quick Reads 2013 titles have been announced:

* Today Everything Changes by Andy McNab (Corgi Books)
* Love is Blind by Kathy Lette (Black Swan)
* Wrong Time, Wrong Place by Simon Kernick (Arrow Books)
* A Dreadful Murder by Minette Walters (Pan Macmillan)
* A Sea Change by Veronica Henry (Orion Books)
* Doctor Who, The Silurian Gift by Mike Tucker (BBC Books)

Since its launch in 2006, the Quick Reads initiative has loaned more than 2.5 million books through libraries and distributed over 4.3 million books through supermarkets, bookshops, workplaces and prisons.

Get involved

Quick Reads 2013 titles can be ordered from your library suppliers. Please place your orders with suppliers by Friday 23 November to ensure that the books are in libraries in time for the launch in February.

Radio 2 Book Club - Winter titles

The Winter season of the Radio 2 Book Club is out now, with brilliant brand-new fiction titles to discover. The BBC Radio 2 Book Club is on the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show. It features a wide range of titles and authors, recommending great reads from both new and much-loved writers, encouraging listeners to perhaps try out a genre they might not have read before, and share their opinions and insights on the titles and great reads they’re enjoying right now.
