Get along to Nottinghamshire's Readers' Day

If you live in Nottingham City or Nottinghamshire don’t miss out on the Readers’ Day event for book lovers taking place on Saturday 3 November.
Organised by Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire libraries, readers will be able to enjoy a choice of parallel sessions covering all aspects of books and reading such as: a discussion on film adaptions and whether movies are as good as the book; the joy and perils of choosing books as gifts; the loves of a ghost story and the fascination with autobiographies, as well as getting to hear from guest speakers:

* Martin Davies, the author of The Conjurer’s Bird and The Year After talks about bringing the past to life in fiction.
* Joanne Harris, best-selling author of Chocolat talks about her acclaimed new novel Peaches for Monsieur le Cure. Joanne will also introduce her second book of short stories, A Cat, A Hat and a Piece of String.
* Marina Lewycka rounds off the day with a talk about her books A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian and We Are All Made of Glue.

Full price tickets £18 or £16 (if booked before 22 October 2012)
Concession tickets (unwaged/over-60s/students) £15 or £13 (if booked before 22 October 2012)
