Get along to Get Barking and Dagenham Reading Festival

If you live or near Barking and Dagehnham don’t miss out on the 2012 Get Barking and Dagenham Reading Festival’ 2012.

Launched by author and poet Pam Ayres in Barking Library.the reading festival takes place between Wednesday 3 and Friday 19 October across Barking and Dagenham libraries and the Broadway Theatre.

This is a fantastic opportunity for reading groups and book clubs to get involved with author events, poetry readings and workshops including: a seminar on how to get published, a brief history of the First World War in pictures and poetry, a
‘Crime’ panel, a ‘Chick Lit’ panel, a ‘Dr Who’ seminar and the official launch to the start of the festival with the No.1 Bestselling author Martina Cole.

Get involved

Many of the events are free, although some do charge an admission; all events are ticketed whether free or not, and tickets must be got in advance.
