Be part of South Tyneside Borough Big Read

Readers in South Tyneside are being encouraged to log on to take part in the Borough Big Read. South Tyneside Libraries has teamed up with publishers Pan Macmillan to get readers to review crime writer Ann Cleeves’ latest book – The Glass Room online.

Pauline Martin, stock and reader development librarian, said: “Pan Macmillan has given us 140 hardback copies of the book to hand to readers and they don’t have to bring them back. What we do want them to do is review the book and post their thoughts online. If this is a success we hope to host more events like this in future.”

Ann Cleeves
is famed for her Vera Stanhope series, which will be showing for a third series on ITV1 next spring. In her latest novel, the super sleuth’s neighbour goes missing, only Vera ends up discovering a lot more than her absent friend. Follow Ann on Twitter.

Follow @STBigRead on Twitter and use the hashtag #STTGR to find out how to get your hands on a free copy of the book.
