You, Me ... We

BigPinkHeart's You, Me ... We reading group is an intergenerational one! Our members range from 15 to 105! The books we read are adult fiction and the stories have strong moral and social messages. The books are the carrot really for each book club - our aim is to get different generations together to discuss books and local issues in a Respectful and safe environment. BigPinkHeart is a community organisation that is working hard to encourage Respect and positive social behaviour. So far we have 3 branches of our book club; one in Oakham in Rutland, one in Stamford in Lincolnshire and one in Leatherhead, Surrey. So far we have read 13 books among which have been When God Was A Rabbit, Blonde Roots, Room, Pay it Forward, Noughts and Crosses, To Sir With Love. We have written two reviews for the national book publication BookTime and a review for the author of Our Man in Orlando. We are a lively bunch and the discussions from each book club are then posted on to the BigPinkHeart website for others to read.
