The Selection (The Selection, Book 1)

This book was like the Princess Trials, reality tv and the love triangle had a baby, with the Hunger Games as it’s best friend. Honestly, it was quite enjoyable. The characters were typical, the romance sweet and overall a fast-paced read. Exactly what I was expecting: I do love a good royalty-romance story. All the tropes were there: Love triangle, Rags to Riches. A little predictable; I also didn’t enjoy the beginning much. 4 stars- looking forward to reading the next book!
P.S: what was her name all about?? America Singer?! Really..?!

This is a fiction about a middle class- poor girl who is chosen along with 23 other girls to be the princes fiance. The main character doesn't really try to make the prince notice her and tries to just enjoy her time there however this gains the prince's attention
It interested me to see the different ways people would act and live if suddenly sent to a palace. I definitely would recommend this book

A bit sappy at parts but a great book overall. I enjoyed the romance and I also like how they have some action in it as well. I would definitely recommend to someone..

A non soppy love story that is about making you own family

I like this book because it is just like Cinderella but in a better way for older kids because I know they would not like the real Cinderella, this interested me because of the book cover,I would recommend it to anyone

I loved this book! I especially loved America and Maxon (team Maxon) I loved the world-building and it kept me interested all the way through. Would totally recommend.

I went in with low expectations; and it succeeded them. Magical and mesmerizing.

It was so addictive I read it in half a day (and spent the other half reading the next one but shhhhh). It is similar to the hunger games with everybody having a number to declare how they can live ranging from one to eight. Instead of going into the hunger games the prince is coming of age and you send in a photo with some information then after if you are picked, you compete against 34 other girls to marry the prince. A girl from group 5 is picked and she is shocked she actually is but does it for her family and ex- boyfriend...

It's not just a love story, it has lots of unexpected twists and demonstrates how difficult it is not to break the rules.

The selection, I would say, is a romance novel about a girl called America Singer who has just been accepted into a "TV" show (You could say) where 34 other girls have to win the heart of the country's Prince Maxon. The problem is she didn't want to be in the competition because she's in love with Aspen who is in a caste below her (caste - place in society. Goes from 1 to 8 - 1 being in the royal family and 8 being a very poor civilian).

I read this book and it is ABSOlOUTLY FAB!! I so enjoyed laughing with the book and then crying with the book and staying up till 12 in the night reading it ( bad habits!eek!) I just love interacting with all these wonderful characters who speak to me in my head! Overall I think this book is marvellous,good,descriptive and overall engaging!
