Charlotte’s Web is the classic children’s story by E B White.
The tale of how a little girl named Fern, with the help of a friendly spider, saved her pig Wilbur from the usual fate of nice fat little pigs.
E. B. White was born in New York in 1899 and died in 1985. He kept animals on his farm in Maine and some of these creatures crept into his books, such as STUART LITTLE which was recently made into a blockbusting film. He received many awards including the Laura Ingalls Wilder Medal in 1970, an award given every five years to authors who have ‘made a substantial and lasting contribution to literature for children’.

Possibly my favourite all-time childhood book!
Classic tale of friendship between two unusual characters! My P6 class loved the story and the characters throughout, always enjoyable to read as a class novel š· š·ļø
This book was a totally magical adventure and Fern was my favourite character.
I like Mr Zuckermans swing. And I liked that Charlotte could write words in her web.
I love this book. I've read it lots of times
I like this book because I like the characters and it is a fun book to read.
That is was good because she didn't want the pig to die.
That it was kind.
That she really wanted a pig badly.
That the mum and dad let Charlotte have the pig.
That she feeds the pig and lets it drink milk.
That it's really fun.
That I like the girl spider.
The best character in Charlotteās Web was Charlotte, because she was very loyal, kind, caring and helpful. I would recommend this to people over six years old.
This book is about a pig named Wilbur who lives in a farm and meets a spider named Charlotte. Wilbur was about to attend a contest, but because of Charlotte, he became famous. I recommend this book because the story is exciting and the ending is sad
it was cool and a little bit sad
I loved this book. It touched my heart. It taught me that a true friend would do anything for you. I loved that the main characters were animals but they showed such wonderful characteristics and virtues. I loved that such a small spider could have such a big impact. I found it very beautiful.
A beautiful book: friends, fun and food.

I really enjoyed this book, I wasnāt expecting the ending.
Develops their vocabulary - teaches them new words
The children learn to use context clues to figure out the meaning of a new word and see how the characters use it in different contexts
They see characters display empathy and how actively listen
Examples of being a good friend
I didn't think I would like it that much but by the end I really enjoyed the book. Such a classic
I would recommend this book who loves to read quite sad stories the only reason i would say that this is for a person who reads sad stories is because at some points like at the end it can be quite heart touching.
