Wow. A Stunner of a novel. There has been plenty written about the terrible scandal surrounding the treatment of unmarried mothers in catholic Ireland. This one has to be one of the best. The live story gently unfolds and we are eveloped in sadness yet the overwhelming power of love from both parents shines through.
