Living Our Best Lives: Cannon Hall Farm

I loved this book. living in Yorkshire, I felt a real sense of pride about where I live and loved the homely picture the book managed to create.

A wonderful story of familial ties, a love of farming and life in the great outdoors. Well worth a read!

Fascinating account of a family farm just about providing a living being built up to an extensive profitable business. The characters bravely tackle risky plans to expand. They seem to be very easy going people, surprising there was not much friction or disagreement at difficult anxious times.
The family worked hard to earn their success but I felt that a lot of luck was needed to achieve it. Fortunately staff they employ seem equally dedicated.
I found the description of the wide variety of animals and the care they need very interesting. Sad occasions are told with sensitivity while happier events have a touch of humour. Life will never be boring with so many animals.
So pleased that it all progressed well, beyond their expectations, to become a tourist attraction with potential for more adventures in the future. SC
