Very sad for Hugo.

I thought that the plot was good but did not enjoy the way the book was written. For most of the book, the word used most was said.

I thought it was really good. I’m surprised Serena
murdered her own brother! it’s really good
I’m surprised Mark was on drugs.I’d like to start a new detective agency, but there isn’t much crime around.

I cant believe that his own sister killed him

An exciting mystery which takes place in a block of flats in London. The detectives are 2 children who live there, their dad is the site manager. Amusing parts and some worrying jeopardy for the detectives and their dad.

I would have given this a 4.5 if it was an option. Personally I’d have liked more action in it as there were a lot of conversations. But it was a good story overall.

Initially wasn’t sure. The language of the Tri was quite difficult to decipher. Glad that I stuck with it though. Ordering the 2nd one now.

A whodunnit with a difference, this book has a very strong sense of place and really immerses the reader. The central characters, sisters with very different personalities but a strong bond, seem real and the way they interact produces lots of comedy moments. Overall an entertaining read for students age 10 up.

it is a mystery that will keep you on your toes wondering what will happen next. Also lots of high vocab.

Fiction. I enjoyed the strong female lead characters but didn’t like the language style although appreciate children may relate to it and enjoy it. I found the story dragged a bit at the beginning but picked up later in the book

The detective Duos' thoughts made me think a lot.
As the name suggests the book was full of mysteries that were fun to guess.
My favourite character in this fictional book was Norva.
I would happily recommend this book to others.

I really enjoyed this book because it was interesting and the plot had a lot of twists. My favourite characters are Nik and Norva because they solved the case. I would definitely recommend this book to someone else.

It was really adventurous and suspenseful, and with the potential surprise lurking around the corner and the surprising twists and turns and detective feel of the book made me feel like I was really in the story and expecting all the twists and turns to be there even when they aren’t. I definetely would reccomend it to someone else.

A fantastic mystery book.My favourite part is when Nik and Norva have found out that Hugo's sister Serena Knightley-Webb killed his brother.

I love this book because it has everything- mystery, murder, action and excitement. I love it! My fave character is probably Norva, because of how funny she was, but I also really lked

By the time I reached the end - and very pacey and dramatic it was, too! - I was really enjoying this book. Earlier on I'd found some of the language inconsistent - highly articulate 11 and 13 year olds using sophisticated vocabulary also communicated in avery teen/urban/street way. Initially I felt Nik's vocab was far too adult but the sisters are clearly extremely bright, despite their urban background. Otherwise they would've been unable to solve the mystery!

Loved Nik and Norva and their mate George.

It feels more KS3-4 to me than upper primary, due to the 'romantic' references used and some quite sophisticated vocabulary but it could be suitable for some year 6s. Recommended for readers who enjoy murder-mystery, adventure and humorous dialogue/action.

I really enjoyed the book. I really liked the two main characters Nik and Norva. They worked together to solve a mystery that unfolded in the flats where they live.
