This book is about a little boy, Prince Alfred who longs to leave his home of Buckingham Palace and explore London. When Alfred's mother, the Queen, is taken away to the Tower of London, he goes on an adventure to save her and must fight the mysterious Griffin.

I liked the surprise where the queen was actually a revolutionary. I also thought that the king was mean or under a spell at the beginning, when he sent the queen and Alfred to the Tower of London to be tortured,but it turned out he did it for their own good.

I rated this book 5 stars because it was very suspenseful and had lots of plot twists! This book is set in the year of 2120 and Prince Alfred had been kept in Buckingham Palace his whole life. But when he finds an evil beast lurking inside the palace, he must find a way to stop it. If you like drama and plot twists, then I recommend this book for you.
