The Tattooist of Auschwitz

A sad testimony to the horror that mankind can inflict on a race. Everyone should read this book so we never forget what happened under the Nazi regime.

I found the story compelling and wanted to know what happened next throughout the book, the characters stayed on the page for me, so it was like reading someone's diary rather than being immersed with characters perhaps because it is such an alien and horrific setting that people were forced into. I recommend it highly and it has made me think a great deal about the camps and the crimes committed.

Wow, what a book! Any story that is based on real life events is captivating in itself, but considering this was the authors first published book, she has done a marvellous job! I could not put the book down! Cannot recommend this book highly enough!

I could not put this book down. The true story follows Lale Sokolov, a prisoner at Auschwitz, who becomes the tattooist of Auschwitz. The heartbreaking tale explores life in the concentration camp as well as the love story of Lale and an imprisoned girl he meets there.

It was really great and emotional 10/10 would recommend!!

This was an excellent book. Well written and a great story from start to finish. The characters were described so well that you could see what happening as though you were there. I felt a range of emotions throughout the whole book. It made me want to read more about Auschwitz.

It was very interesting and moving. My favourite character is Lale, the book was written from his perspective and about his experiences. I chose the book because it was recommended by my teacher as I have an interest in history.
