A funny, filmic and fast-paced crime-caper by a hilarious new voice in middle-grade fiction, ideal for readers aged 10 and up.

Some people rob banks because they’re greedy. Others enjoy the adrenalin rush. Me? I robbed a bank because of guilt. Specifically: guilt and a Nepalese scented candle… When fifteen-year-old Dylan accidentally burns down the house of the girl he’s trying to impress, he feels that only a bold gesture can make it up to her. A gesture like robbing a bank to pay for her new home. Only an unwanted Saturday job, a tyrannical bank manager, and his unfinished history homework lie between Dylan and the heist of century. And really, what’s the worst that could happen? A funny, cinematic, ill-advised comedy-crime adventure perfect for gamers, heist movie fans, and anyone who loves a laugh.

I have been looking for funny teenage boy books to recommend and this certainly fits the bill. Dylan's hapless attempts to rob the bank made me chuckle. Old teachers and big sisters add to the chaos.

A hilarious book and I liked how the book was laid out in the steps of how he tried to rob the bank.

It was quite funny but serious at some times. Very good book.

This book was extremely funny, yet kept a feeling of high stakes and intensity intact. I definitely recommend reading this book if you like comical adventures with a lot of tense moments.

I didn't really like this book because the plot was a little simple and wasn't as gunny as it looked

I would definitely recommend this book to somebody else because I really liked it. My favourite person was Dylan.

It was good because Dylan accidentally burns the house down

Tom is my fave character because he got kicked by a llama and he’s always grinning

I would deffo recommend it

I thought it was a bit strange that the main character found the passcode to the vault first try. I found it funny that a candle burned down his crush’s house even though he gave it as House and he didn’t mean for that to happen. I liked the main character the best because some of his interests were similar to mine like fifa. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes humerus books because the main character burned down a house with a candle even though he didn’t even mean to.

This is a hilarious book about Dylan’s quest to rob the bank he works at after burning down Beth’s house. I loved the book and will recommend this book to 8-12 year olds.

This book is slow-moving and was not very interesting to me.

This book is about a boy who wants to steal some money from a bank. He writes down a book about how to rob a bank and what happens if things go wrong.

I liked Beth in the book because she was funny.

I would recommend this book to everyone except thieves

I like the book when Dylan burns down the girl's house by accident and I would recommend it to 10+ because it says some bad words which are not meant for kids under 10+ but overall it is a good book.

It was a humorous book and I would recommend it for ages 10-12. If you enjoy other comedy books then you should definitely read this. When Dylan Thomas sets his girlfriend's house on fire he needs to get money fast. And one way is to rob the bank.
