This book took my a while to get in to as initially I didn’t really sympathise with any of the characters. However as the book progressed and I began to appreciate the deeper issues it was covering but all captured in an interesting, humorous, light hearted way and towards the end, I couldn’t put it down! I enjoyed the references to food and recipes and liked the way the story was told through different characters, each with their own style. Definitely a view in to a very different world and well worth reading.

It's improbable that someone wouldn't love this book!
A great read, it was thought provoking re what makes art valuable. The characters were all larger than life and I can imagine it being made into a great film.
I loved guessing who the author had based some of her characters on and had a list of suspects in my head.
I was sad to finish it - a cracking read
