Our reading group unanimously found this book unoriginal and formulaic. Most of us would not have bothered reading to the end if we hadn’t had the obligation of reading the book for the purpose of discussing at our group. We had been looking forward to the archaeological aspects of the book but were disappointed that there was not much depth to this.
