A Child of Books by Oliver Jeffers and Sam Winston - resources and display competition

A child of books

Look out for A Child of Books, now out in paperback, the inspiring picture book by Oliver Jeffers and Sam Winston about the rewards of reading and sharing stories – perfect for readers of all ages.

To celebrate Libraries Week, Walker will be providing libraries with a fantastic digital pack filled with a guide filled with activities and ideas, postcard and poster so that you can share which books made you “A Child of Books”.

You can use the giant postcard to share on the day on social media (this does not need to include children’s faces and can be taken directly from your phone), tagging @WalkerBooksUK and @readingagency #achildofbooks #librariesweek. Or create a display in your library using A Child of Books posters.

You could win £100 of Walker Books for your very own “Child of Books” library for the most creative display! Simply email jo.humphreys-davies@walker.co.uk with a photo by 31 October 2019. For terms and conditions visit http://www.walker.co.uk/about-walker/legal-stuff.

Hive and The Reading Agency

The Reading Agency loves books, in every form, and we know you do too. We love it when people borrow books in every format from their brilliant local libraries. We love it when reading groups get exclusive free proofs from our publisher partners. We love it when readers pick up a pre-loved book from a second-hand bookshop for a song. And we also love it when you buy yourself or someone else a brand new book from a high street bookshop. We also know that buying online is quick and convenient...
