Giveaway for A Family Recipe

A family recipe

We’re giving 5 reading groups the chance to win up to 10 copies of Veronica Henry’s new novel A FAMILY RECIPE – a mix of family, friends, and delicious food, it has the perfect ingredients for a scrumptious summer read!

What’s more, we want to encourage the winning groups to bake and bring along their own treasured family recipes to enjoy when discussing the book – whether it’s your mum’s “never fails” Victoria Sponge, or your granny’s unrivalled flapjack, we’d love groups to get involved and tweet photos to #AFamilyRecipe @veronica_henry

About A FAMILY RECIPE:

Laura Griffin is preparing for an empty nest. The thought of Number 11 Lark Hill falling silent – a home usually bustling with noise, people and the fragrant smells of something cooking on the Aga – seems impossible. Laura hopes it will mean more time for herself, and more time with her husband, Dom.

But when an exposed secret shakes their marriage, Laura suddenly feels as though her family is shrinking around her. Feeling lost, she turns to her greatest comfort: her grandmother’s recipe box, a treasured collection dating back to the Second World War. Everyone has always adored Laura’s jams and chutneys, piled their sandwiches high with her pickles . . . Inspired by a bit of the old Blitz spirit, Laura has an idea that gives her a fresh sense of purpose.

Full of fierce determination, Laura starts carving her own path. But even the bravest woman needs the people who love her. And now, they need her in return . . .

‘An utter delight’ Jill Mansell

‘A delicious treat of a book’ Milly Johnson

‘A heart-warming, triumphant story combined with Veronica’s sublime writing – the perfect mix!’ Cathy Bramley

Hive and The Reading Agency

The Reading Agency loves books, in every form, and we know you do too. We love it when people borrow books in every format from their brilliant local libraries. We love it when reading groups get exclusive free proofs from our publisher partners. We love it when readers pick up a pre-loved book from a second-hand bookshop for a song. And we also love it when you buy yourself or someone else a brand new book from a high street bookshop. We also know that buying online is quick and convenient...
