Research links career success with reading for pleasure

It’s great to see another piece of research (Oxford University British Cohort study) reinforcing the importance of reading for pleasure to social mobility http://on.fb.me/hJaOpW

Our director Miranda McKearney has issued a response to this research published today which you can read in the Press release section of our main website.

We suspect that this isn’t news to many of you though particularly those of you who are running young people’s reading groups. Please send us your examples of how your work is making a difference to the life chances of the teens that you work with and we will publish a selection on Reading Groups for Everyone. We’d really like to share all the good examples of the powerful stuff out there that is really working. Reading Groups for Everyone is a great platform to do that.

Use the Send us your stories and research button on the right hand side of the Impact page or email [email protected]
