Books and Biscuits
adults, young people
We are a staff and 6th Form student reading group at Wirral Grammar School for Girls. We meet weekly on a Friday at lunchtimes in the school library, we read books, discuss books, recommend books, and eat biscuits. We are a lively group and laugh a lot, even though we all have differing opinions on much of what we read. In October we were really lucky to be selected as 1 of 12 groups to shadow the Booker Prize 2020 and you can read our reviews of Real Life by Brandon Taylor on The Reading Agency website. We are currently reading My Name is Why by Lemn Sissay for non-fiction November and, of course, Lemn was one of the 2020 Booker Prize judges.
Meets at Library WGSG on Friday, weekly, 13:00-13:35
