Think of the street you live on. Now think of how it may have looked in 10,000 BCE, or in Roman times, or in Victorian England at the height of the Industrial Revolution. This title features double-page illustrations that bring fourteen key periods in history to life. It takes you on a 12,000-year walk through history.

Educational, fantastic book, easy to understand to read and to learn. Can’t recommend it enough!
It tells me a lot about history that I did not know. It has a timeline at the back of the book which is helpful as it tells me when the important events of time happened. It also has things to do in the book like finding Henry Hyde.
Really loved looking at the illustrations
This was good because it told you all about the interesting facts through time.
I really liked seeing the stone circle change and then it disappeared and that people used to poop out a window.
It was really interesting and there were lots of things to talk about
It was interesting to see how people lived/live.
This book wasn’t my favourite book this summer but I did like learning about different times in history and talking to my parents about them. I really liked the detailed pictures and they made me feel like I was being whisked back through history. My favourite page was the Romans because the pictures were brilliant and I learnt lots of new information.
I loved A Street Through Time because of the details in the pictures and text. My favourite time was the time now because I could see what the different people in the street were doing at that moment!
It was very interesting
I loved it! It was interesting and fun.
We got to see what the Vikings town looked like. We also got to see what we had, the camp with sticks and animal skin.
Everytime they found something new to build it was interesting and the vikings tried to attack us. And we tried to attack other people.
Interesting to see the changes through the years
Really good book on the years of the world It’s about the street through chime which starts with the Stone Age to the first farmers to the Iron Age to the Roman times to the invaders to the Viking riders to the mediaeval village to the mediaeval town to the plague strikes to under attack to an age of elegance To grim times from town to city the street today and that is all the years
I enjoy learning about history something’s I had already learnt about in school like cavemen and the Romans. I wonder what the future will be like too.
