Nine-year-old Beanie is coping with more than most kids his age, including treatment for leukaemia. Very funny book about a young boy who finds a monkey. He has cancer, though, he takes it as it comes, however, his parents and brother are really worried. Loved this book. Sensitive, and thoughtful.
Great book for 8-9 year olds but takes long to understand. Overall good book.
This show stopper is almost a miracle under the name of book. Also I think that this book has been written from the heart, and aside from the fact Beanie (the main character) meets a chimp, this book is fairly realistic.
