I like the story because it is funny. I like the different characters. My favourite is the dad as he collects the milk and does lots of missions.
This is a very interesting book therefore i do highly recommend it. The story is about a man and his wonderful adventure of time travel so if you like that, you must read it.
A great fun, fantasy adventure story combining the genius storytelling of Neil Gaiman with the detailed, brilliant illustrations of Chris Riddell.
Mum has gone away to work and left the kids with Dad with a set of instructions. Unfortunately they run out of milk, so Dad has to go to the shop to get some. When he arrives back, the kids ask what took him so long and Dad tells them a wonderful story about why it took so long full of dinosaurs, pirates, vampires, ponies and aliens.
I loved the humour in this book. Great for LKS2.
This is a fantastic book, a bit complex so I recommend this to children aged 6+. I like the book because it is very realistic at the start but the middle and end is unrealistic. I like the time travel- it didn't feel like it was in the past but also not in the present or future. I also like the characters especially the little boy.
Definitely five! It's a massive quest that starts with a trip to buy milk and then he goes across the galaxy with a stegosaurus. Lots of laughs.

The best character is the dad because he is funny. I recommend to other people that you read this it was great.
It is a simple read, and quick read, yet it is surprisingly gripping as this book has an amazing plot line and the illustrations allow you to visualise the situation.
