Anansi, child of council care and parental carelessness, is cast up for the summer in a Suffolk town, between sea and muddy river. Her hosts’ complacency and her own demons drive her to torpedo its peace with a well-timed revelation about what she saw in the old Martello Tower.Tweet
A bit sentimental for my taste but it's an easy to read, charming story with a wonderfully happy ending. A nice, gentle book.
