The Innocent

I love thrillers and Baldacci is one of the best writers in this genre, in my view. This is the first novel in his Will Robie series and I read the books as they were published, I listened to this as an e-audiobook and I've been hooked in all over again! Robie is an off-the-books CIA assassin. Tasked with killing a woman in Washington DC he aborts the mission nano-seconds before pulling the trigger. Minutes later he’s become a target himself and is running to escape various law enforcement agencies, including the FBI. This is a tense and exciting thriller and the reading/narration of the audiobook was excellent. I enjoyed this so much that I'm now working through the Robie series again, and enjoying every minute!
