I thought that Skellig was ok as I like how the angel is described and how the author makes him sound really old and ghost-like even though he looks like a young man. I would definitely recommend this book to someone who likes story books.

This modern classic is a powerful and moving story about friendship and the power of kindness.

As Michael opens the garage door, he is intrigued to discover a hunched being, covered in dust and cobwebs. What is this creature: human or beast? Skellig is a thrilling story, willing you to read on.

I would recommend this book to readers of 11+, as it features some strong language. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, as it has some very vivid descriptions of the characters and their emotions.

I just think that there could have been something more exciting happening. The front cover got me all excited the more I looked at it. But my expectations were not meet. It was a good story about a boy worrying about his sister all the same.

Skellig is about about a boy who finds a man in his garage. He has just moved house so he knows nothing about him. after nurturing the man back to good health, he and his friend bring the man (Skellig) out and to their surprise he has wings. The boys' younger sister who has heart problems looks like she is about to die. But their mother says that during the night an old man with wings came through the window and healed the sick child. At multiple point in the book interaction with Skellig result in ghostly silvery wings sprouting from the backs of people and raising them into the air. This is a moving book about friendship and kindness to each other. Towards the end of the book Skellig leaves. He is more like a bird of prey then an angel as after eating small creatures like mice and rat, he spits up pellets of bone and fur like an owl would. This has a sort of haunting feeling about it as if he is more bird than human. the book remarks on how he is incredibly light for his size as if his bones are strong but hollow. It also explains earlier on how birds bones are hollow so as that they would not fall from the sky every time they attempted to take flight. In all I think that this is a good book to read in a day if you are bored or do not know what to do with yourself and is also a good read.

Wow! What a great book! It is really more-ish and you don't want to put it down! However, I do recommend that you are at least aged 10 if you want to read this as it has strong language. I would recommend this to all my friends and anyone I know that is in my age area.

I really liked this book because it is filled with mystery and excitement. My favourite character is Michael because he was brave throughout the story; even when he knew his baby sister was going to die. He was considerate to most of the characters in the book such as Mina and Skellig. This is my favourite book.

This book is a really interesting book to read it has un-expecting things you won't find in a normal reading book.

It is about a boy who finds a thing it looks like a man but it isn't ... it has wings but is not a vampire. No-one in the world knows what it is. The boy moves to another house and his mother has given birth to an premature baby. Skellig as he wants them to know as was found in the shed.
