A debut novel, which I chose to read because I have a soft-spot for this TV cook. The heroine of this is also a TV cook (Prudence Bulstrode) who is asked to go to Farleigh Manor to cook for a weekend shooting party as replacement for her TV rival, Deirdre Shaw, who has been found dead. But did Deirdre die, or was she killed? This is Cosy Crime with a capital ‘C’ but it’s extremely enjoyable nonetheless. It has a good plot that kept me guessing to the end, and it was great fun to read.
