The last book in the Cogheart series, and my favourite by far. It has one of the best storylines you'll ever see and it gets your heart pumping and your fingers turning the page while you think "just five more minutes"
I recently read "Skycircus" by Peter Bunzl, the third book in the "Cogheart" series, and I have to say, it's just as thrilling and imaginative as the first two books. This time, Lily and Robert find themselves at a traveling circus in Paris, where they discover a sinister plot that puts the lives of everyone at the circus in danger.
One of the things I love about the "Cogheart" series is how each book expands on the world-building of the previous one, and "Skycircus" is no exception. The circus setting is vividly realized, with all sorts of fantastical performers and attractions that are sure to capture the reader's imagination. The plot is also full of suspense and excitement, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing.
But what really makes "Skycircus" stand out is the themes it explores. The book deals with some heavy topics, such as identity, belonging, and the exploitation of marginalized groups. These themes are handled with sensitivity and nuance, making the book both thought-provoking and emotionally resonant.
Overall, I would highly recommend "Skycircus" to anyone who loves steampunk, adventure, and stories with heart. It's a worthy addition to the "Cogheart" series, and I can't wait to see where Lily and Robert's adventures take them next
Really enjoyed the book, can't wait to read more of Peter Bunzl books
Amazing, lots of description
Because it was fun to read
3rd book in the Cogheart series. This book will definitely take you out of this world.
My thoughts are they were kidnapped and forced to be in a circus so I wonder whether that actually happens in real life. This book is fiction and I recommend it.
I really enjoyed this fictional book. It is a great story of the adventure Lily and Robert go through when they meet the travelling Skycircus. I loved the character Malkin who is a mechanimal , his personality lifts their spirts. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good read.
Serious,adventurous and descriptive
It was so amazing. I couldn't stop reading it! My favourite part was the show at the end when it was Lily's turn to go on the stage because it was tense and really exciting. I would recommend this book along with the others in the series to anyone who is in need of adventure or excitement.
I thought this was a super showstopper of trickery and plots. My favourite character was Lily for her bravery and honesty. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves adventure and mystery.
It is the third book of cogheart which is an amazing book as well.
I thought this book was very good, I rate it 5/5. My favourite person was actually all the Hybrids because they were called freaks when really they were just like humans but just with little adjustments. my favourite part was when the police came because then Lily, Robert, Malkin, Angelique, Luca, Deedee and all the other circus folk were free from Madame and Slimwood - not giving much away! I would definitely recommend!
Amazing. Truly amazing.
Favourite character: Malkin the mechanical fox
Interests: I am SO interested in mech
Recommendations: My best friend, another one of my friends, any one who likes adventure stories
I really enjoyed reading this fantastic book! Skycircus is the third in the amazing Cogheart series, and though Moonlocket was my favourite, this book might be tied second best! When Lily feels like she is being ignored on her fourteenth birthday, everything suddenly changes when she receives a poetic birthday card, sent with her mother's old journal and V.I.P tickets to the wondrous Skycircus! However, the show is not as it seems... soon Lily and Robert are plunged into yet another thrilling adventure that might not just save Lily, but every Hybrid in the whole world!
I thought that this was a gem of a book because it was so exiting and gripped me till the end. My favourite character was Malkin because he is so stubborn and naughty. I would definitely recommend this book.
I thought that this was rather great.I loved it and thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
My favourite character was Malkin, the mechanimal fox,for his rather negative, but funny personality.
I would recommend this to ANYONE over the age of 9.
I think this book is one of the best books I have ever read!!!
An absolute favorite of mine now!
This is a fiction book.
I would recommend it for 8-12 hard words so be careful!
They got trapped by a circus - the Skycircus.
Lily and Robert go to see the Skycircus but get trapped.
They try and get away, and when Lily is in grave danger they get away!!!
I really enjoyed reading skycircus it is full of adventure and friendship. It is very exciting, it is a very exciting fiction book. I liked all the nice characters but my favourite character is Angelique because she has wings, she is a hybrid, she is friendly and kind and she has her own personality. I believe that everyone would enjoy reading this amazing book.
Book 3 in the Cogheart series. Another adventure with Lily and Robert. The chapters quickly disappeared whilst waiting for a rescue mission.
This book was very good. I liked Malkin. I would recommend this book.
An extremely good book, my favourite character is Lily, because she has an adventurous spirit, and is a bit of a rebel!! I would recommend this book, to anyone who likes a good adventure, with a lot of mystery!!
Third in the Cogheart series.
It is Lily's 14th birthday and she gets a mysterious invitation to skycircus, but she doesn't know what it is.
The invitation is to meet a hybrid, a half human half machine, and as Lily is also a hybrid she decides to go. She and her friends are lead into a terrifying adventure in another country - France.
It's nice to read Lily's sorry continue through many books.
Full of scares and suspense.
Really good i want to read the other ones now!!
I thought that this book was written really well as it had very descriptive vocabulary and it was brilliant because it was adventurous. Slimwood and Madame Lyons Mane were strict and very cruel. Although Dr Droz seemed evil at the start and turned out to be kind and gentle.
I loved reading this book because it had lots of exiting moments in it. My favourite character is Robert because he is amazing at solving mysteries and is great at clockwork. I would recommend this book to someone because the author uses lots of description which makes the book really enjoyable read.
The book was very interesting, though slightly confusing. I will recommend it to people over 10. It was the third book in the series so that wasn't very helpful!
I really enjoyed this book. it is as good as Moonlocket and Malkin is still my favorite character.
