I read this with the intention to read to my whole class, in the hopes that it gets them to trust me with their worries, thus promoting memory function in learning. Great book for SEND or any child really.

I learnt in this book that if you talk about your worries they will get smaller and if you don't talk about them they will get bigger and bigger.
I would recommend this book because it explains feelings and talking helps.

Everybody has their worry. I learn that I can do anything to kick away the worry and talk about it with friends who always help me.

I liked that Ruby talked about her worry to another person, who also had a worry. This meant their worries then started to shrink. It was a story about telling your feelings if something is bothering you so you feel better.

This book is a lovely way of explaining to children that it's OK to have a worry. It goes on to say that talking to someone really helps 'get rid' of the worry. Lovely story.

“I didn’t like that ruby’s worry got that big, that it nearly knocked her off of the swing. I liked that the worry got smaller when ruby got happier”
