This book was brilliant. Justyce had every educational advantage and even a place at Harvard but then he has a brush with the police. Exposes the inherent racism with the American police system. We like to think that racism is a thing of the past but Dear Martin shows that's just surface - prejudices run so deep. When Justyce is faced with racism he asks himself what would Martin Luther King do? So he is the Martin in the Dear Martin.
