Snap: `The best crime novel I've read in a very long time' Val McDermid
A crime story you cannot put down once you start reading. An exciting book when you suspend disbelief and enter its world. lovely style, flowing, direct and without embellishments. The characters are fascinating. The psychology of trauma is well understood. There is suspense but no gory details and solutions to most strands of the story; however the reader is left with the unsolved mystery of the knife maker.
