The Diary of a Bookseller

This book is exactly what it says on the tin. It's a diary that covers 1 year in the life of Shaun Bythell, written by Shaun Bythell, owner of a second hand book shop. It is full of interesting information about books and acerbic comments abouts about his customers. He also makes it crystal clear, in case anyone was in any doubt, why Amazon is such bad news for writers, readers, booksellers and all connected with the industry. Parts of it are quite funny but by the end of the year I was beginning to find it a little tedious - more and more of the same. Nevertheless, it was a fun and interesting read overall and I would recommend it to anyone who loves books and bookshops.
