Book 1 in the DI James Bliss series, which is set in Peterborough. I searched this out having previously enjoyed a thriller by this author called 'Scream Blue Murder'. In this, a skeleton is found in a shallow grave in Bretton Woods and discovered to have originally been buried somewhere else and moved recently. There’s not much evidence to work with, so tracing the victim and then pursuing the killer is a slightly more complicated cold case investigation than usual. It’s a good police procedural with likeable characters which keeps you hooked, and the local setting added to the interest. I'll definitely be looking for more by this author.
