Pauline, Petrova and Posy Fossil are sisters – with a difference. All three were adopted as babies by Great Uncle Matthew, an eccentric and rich explorer who then disappeared, leaving them in the care of his niece Sylvia. The girls grow up in comfort until their money begins to run out and nobody can find Great Uncle Matthew.

I liked this because it was all about acting and I really love acting in plays . I liked the bit when it's Christmas and they get watches in Jewlery boxes . My favourite character is Pauline because she dreams of going to Hollywood .
I absolutely love this book and I would definitely recommend it to everyone who wants a new book to read
It was good I liked the fossil sisters
Good
I liked this book because it’s about ballet which I love to do. My favourite out of the three sisters is Posy because she loves dancing the most out of the sisters and she’s a similar age to me. I would recommend this book to someone who loves ballet.
I like ballet and I like the sisters .personally I like posy the best because she is so beautiful and I like her name.
I found this book fantastic, I couldn’t stop reading it. I liked how everything was connected like what wool weaved together. I will recommend this book to everyone. I didn’t give a five star because there wasn’t much ballet in it and the title was ballet shoes so I thought it was a bit of a miss. Still it was a very good book and I enjoyed reading it.
I liked the characters and the plot
I thought ballet shoes was amazing because I liked how the story was told in an old fashioned way, also I really like ballet as well. My book was fiction so the character I like the best was either Pauline or Posy. Pauline becomes an actress and Posy gets trained by a world class ballet dancer. I would most certainly recommend it to someone else, someone who likes the book told in an old fashioned way but they don't just have to like ballet to read the book. So anyone can read it, I would say.
Good book if you like classic stories.
Really good liked the ballerina she was brave i would think another little girl would like it
A classical coming-of-age story of three adopted sisters pursuing their dreams.
Streatfeild's 'Ballet Shoes' is a different sort of book, as you follow the story, one watches children grow up, and the ending was rather happy. Although it's not the genre I usually read, I did enjoy this, and would recommend it.

I love ballet and I particularly like Posy following her dream to become a ballarina
This book is wonderful! I love Posy the best because she dances the best and she’s the youngest out of the three. I would recommend this book to anyone who like dancing.
This book was really intriguing. It made me think I was a sister of Pauline, Petrova and Posy. A fantastic book from Noel Streatfield about dancing ballet and earning a living starting from the age of twelve!
This lovely book is about 3 sisters growing up together. They go through challenging times of life, but always manage to get through it with help. The three of them learn valuable lessons on friendship, kindness and braveness. My favourite character was Pauline as she was confident and strong in herself. I would recommend this to someone.
This book was a lovely book and
I think Ballet Shoes is a good book because everything in it is possible but unlikely. I also like how Pauline, Petrova and Posy can be sisters but with such different talents and backgrounds.
This book is just wonderful, and opened my eyes as to how the stage actually works, and the people behind it all.
I love ballet and I attend classes every Wednesday. In this book not only is about ballet is also about the love and passions of a big family :)
it was great that they all had strong dreams
I liked this book
My favourite character was Posy and I really enjoyed the subject of this book.
Better than the TV film!
i hated the book
I didn't really get some parts.
Although I did not find this story particularly stimulating, I do believe that the individual characters were well-drawn. This story has relevance in my life, hence I am likely to be more judgemental towards this subject matter than otherwise. Overall, however, it was fine!
My favourite book ever!
a story from the past,a true page turner
