By Mary Costello
The heart-breaking and evocative debut novel by critically acclaimed Irish writer, Mary CostelloTweet
A quiet, moving book full of unrelenting sadness. Well written if a bit slow in places. It is short, easy to read and very poingant although I have to say quite depressing. I enjoyed the first half of the book more than the second. I thought the ending was unsatisfying and less than uplifting.
