An interesting concept of a 12 year old boy taking over the family business as a criminal mastermind. Artemis Fowl is a genius and has discovered fairies are real. He plans to kidnap one but these fairies are armed and dangerous. How will this pan out?
I think this would be a good book for both the boys and girls. Lots of drama, twists and turns and some comedy. Language is more complicated in parts so this would be good for UKS2 or LKS2 with a higher reading range. I enjoyed it.

i would recommend this book to whoever likes fairies or if you like action. Every time you turn the page this book is definitely for you.
Artemis Fowl is a genius. Simple as that. Plus he has a secret- fairies are real. Just two points- Artemis Fowl happens to be responsible for all of the major crimes of the century, and the fairies are extremely high tech and ready for anything. When Artemis kidnaps one of them, could he be triggering a cross-species war?
In the first book in this fantastic series, Artemis discovers a fairy civilization living underground. What he doesn't know is how high-tech and advanced these faries are... At the time of this discovery, Artermis' family, the Fowl's, are in great financial crisis thanks to an 'incident'(to put it lightly) earlier in the year. They are still millionares, but don't now have the billionare status they used to. Artemis plans (for he knows every fairy carries gold) to steal this and regain the Fowl family's status. Little does he know, the fairies are expecting him...

Artemis Fowl is a gripping novel about a child genius who has discovered the magical world of fairies. His family fortune has gone down so when Artemis kidnaps a fairy for ransom nobody knows what is going to happen.
I recommend this book to boys and girls over the age of 9 who want action-packed stories full of tense excitement. It is a thrilling book and I couldn't put it down.

Artemis Fowler is by Eoin Colfer. It is a very good book, and is like a jigsaw; you feel so happy when you've figured out the problem.
I think this book was alright, it was okay at the start but towards the middle it got boring for me. But overall, i found it okay.
It's a great book filled with action and magic
All of the Artemis Fowl books are amazing and it will make every little hair on your back rise. It is very funny and magical. It is a very adventurous and mysterious book.

All of it was AMAZING and I can't pick an individual part that I liked best.

eoin colfers books are always amazing
I would rate this book 1, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000! It is so interesting and great fun. Also, Eoin Colfers imagination must be absolutely amazing to think up all of those characters and portray them so vividly! Read it and tell other people how good it is!

I really enjoyed this book because it's really exciting and full of suspense.

It's about a criminal mastermind called Artemis Fowl and he has a body guard called Butler who is a really big man. The book is exciting and Artemis kidnaps a fairy called Holly and the other fairies send lots of reinforcements and a troll to try to kill him!!

In this book there was a twelve year old Artemis Fowl is brilliant crimanal mastermind.But even Artemis dosent know what hes taken on when he kidnaps a fairy,Captin Holly sort of the LEPrecon Unit.These arent the fairies of bedtimes stories.These hese fairies are aremed and theyre dangerous. I personaly thought it was a really good book for my age group
