Banned Books Week 2017

Banned books

Every day, across the globe, writers are being censored in a hundred different ways. Some face persecution, others are imprisoned, some have their work banned and some are subject to more insidious means of censorship.

We’re sharing a list of frequently banned books put together by the Free Word Centre and partners this Banned Books Week (Sep 24 – Sep 30). Download the list now and make sure you take a look at the other events and activity they have planned around Banned Books Week.

We’ll be sharing a different book we love from the list every day on Instagram, so follow us there for our recommendations.

Podcasts for Book Lovers

We’ve put together a list of our favourite reading related podcasts for you to enjoy. From celebrity storytelling to a tour of the fascinating connections between Shakespeare and the world around us, there should be something to suit all tastes.
