Reading Group Giveaway: How to Write Like Tolstoy

We are giving away final hardback copies of Richard Cohen’s book How to Write Like Tolstoy: A Journey into the Minds of Our Greatest Writers.

What made Norman Mailer change from first person to third? Which authors borrowed plots and characters from people they knew? Why did Turgenev envy Tolstoy, and what does that say about how fiction writers create characters?

Richard Cohen takes readers on an enchanting journey into the minds, techniques, concerns, tricks and flaws of the world’s greatest writers.

We are ideally looking for a group of people who also like to dabble in writing themselves, as it’s a good writing companion, as well as a reading companion! We ask that groups fill out feedback forms and return them after discussion. The author will be available in September if you’d like him to join in your discussion.

Please log in and get in touch with the contact listed below to request copies for your group.
