New Media Writing Prize 2011 Winner Announced

The winner of the New Media Writing Prize 2011 has just been announced. Run by the Media School at Bournemouth University, the prize allows writers working with New Media to showcase their skills, provoke discussion and raise awareness of new media writing and the future of the written word. The winners are Serge Bouchardon and Vincent Volckaert for Loss of Grasp.

Sophie Rochester from The Literary Platform and one of the judges said: “what we loved about this piece was that the reader had to interact in order to unfold the story, and its ability to give the reader that sense of losing control as events unfold. It was also beautifully executed and the story could either be read in a linear or non-linear way.”

Read Sophie’s piece about judging the Award here and you can check out the shortlist here.

We’d love to hear whether your reading group or book club is reading digital literature – get in touch if you are.
