Fact not Fiction Book Club launches on Radio 2

This Friday (2 October) will see the first book featured as part of the Radio 2 Book Club: Fact not Fiction on The Arts Show with Claudia Winkleman. Following the success of the hugely popular Radio 2 Fiction Book Club on Simon Mayo’s drivetime show, we are so pleased to be working on this exciting new strand to the Book Club.

Starting tomorrow, the show will feature a different narrative non-fiction title every fortnight on the Friday night show, with the author being interviewed by Claudia. As with the Simon Mayo Book Club, we are working with library staff from across the UK to help Radio 2 choose the best books of the season.

Joe Haddow, Producer of the Radio 2 Book Club, said: “I’m thrilled that the Radio 2 Book Club will now feature some original and exciting non-fiction titles on the Arts Show, continuing Radio 2’s commitment to the arts and to literature.”

Karen Brodie, Head of Publisher Relations at The Reading Agency, said: “This new book club is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the most creative and compelling non-fiction. Expanding the successful programme with our BBC and library partners will inspire Radio 2 listeners to discover new and varied writing.”
