Seaton Library Reading Group
Meets at Seaton Library on Wednesday, 3rd week of every month, 19:00-21:15
This is a lively group - mostly retired women, who enjoy a variety of books. We choose a list of books from the Cumbria Libraries Bookgroup Department - always a good selection. We try and make sure we cover a wide variety of books - history, travel, biography, poetry, classical fiction, modern, a translation and fantasy. We often try and match up refreshments with the book we\'re discussing. When we read Narrow Dog to Carcassone by Terry Darlington, we all brought French cheese and snacks, and wine (of course)! Actually most months the meeting turns into a party - but we ALWAYS discuss the book!
We are usually on hand to help with fundraising events at the library, such as MacMillan\'s Coffee Morning.
We have regular trips to the local theatre - and have enjoyed going as a group.
The library supports us a great deal - including supplying large print books, and talking books for those of us who need them.
