it was brilliant
Fiction. Really enjoyable inspirational story that my dad had also read when he was a child
I liked learning the definitions of all the new descriptive words used in this book. It has helped my vocabulary.
Great book, some lovely vocab.
I liked this book as it kept me really interested to find out what would happen.
i thou ght this bok was good but there wasnt much going on and it was a very small book.
It was quite short but I loved the battle with the space bat angel dragon!
I enjoyed reading about an iron man changing his ways to help the people on the earth. I liked Hogarth's character, he seemed to be a very sensible and kind boy.
It was funny when the Iron Man fell off a cliff and broke all his parts and he had to put his head back on again!
I love the detail in the book
And all the smilies.
I liked it when he fell down the cliff because his hand started moving and then walked away and picked up and eye.
I liked this book because it had a funny ending. The best thing about this book was that the iron man fell down a cliff at the start and it was quite funny.
I didn't get into this story, I wouldn't recommend it. My opinion: my favourite part of the story was the start because it was interesting, the rest of the book was more action and I didn't understand it and it was a bit boyish.
Great book.
I love the writing genres that can be made possible through reading this book. The imagery and the messages are profound.
This book is an interesting story and friendly
Year 3&4 are so inspired by this amazing book. The use of simile, repetition and description will result in excellent writing also. The characters are deep and welcome conversations about how we interpret others.
I liked the use of descriptive language when talking about The Iron Man. It had really a good climatic ending and really loved the details of the battle.
I really liked the dragon in the book!
I like the book but it doesn’t have that many pictures and it has some sentences that don’t really make any sense. Although, the story is pretty good and interesting and there’s quite a lot of cliffhangers which keeps it exciting.
The children loved this and created some excellent black out poetry from it. It also generated some excellent descriptive writing.
The Iron Man is a story about a metal who suddenly appears one day on a beach and ends up defending the world from a space dragon. My favourite character was the small boy called Hogarth. I would recommend this book to a friend because it was enjoyable to read.
I liked it when he defeated the space bat angel dragon.
I will recommend this book to my friends.
Read for first time with class. Interesting read and the children enjoyed it.
This book was good. It shows the relationship and journey between a boy and the Iron man
I loved this book. I felt sad for the iron man.
I liked Hogarth because he had faith in the iron man. He was very nice.
I thought I'd better read this 'classic' - and I'm glad I did! A short but poetically written story about an enormous iron man who turns up one day out of the blue (it's a mystery where he came from) and starts to eat metal - cars, barbed wire, farm machinery..... After some negotiations with humans a compromise is reached - but then another creature turns up from space who wants to eat living things...
The Iron Man is a beautifully told fiction story, and really paints a picture in somebody's head. I love how the body parts can move on their own, showing that the Iron Man is not entirely human. My favourite character is the Star spirit, as I love to sing and I am generally peaceful, so it reminds me of me. I would highly recommend this to somebody else as it is a perfect fiction
The person I like best was the main character itself because he was extremely courageous
