Read the HILARIOUS books that inspired the HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON films!
Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third is a smallish Viking with a longish name. Hiccup’s father is chief of the Hairy Hooligan tribe which means Hiccup is the Hope and the Heir to the Hairy Hooligan throne – but most of the time Hiccup feels like a very ordinary boy, finding it hard to be a Hero.
When we last left Hiccup things were getting very dark indeed. The Dragon Rebellion has begun. Snotlout is the new Chief of the Hooligan Tribe. Stoick has been banished and given the Slavemark. And Alvin the Treacherous has EIGHT of the King’s Lost Things, and has been proclaimed the new King of the Wilderwest … But what can Hiccup do, now all alone and in exile, hunted by both humans and dragons? Can he find the Dragon Jewel, mankind’s last and only hope and become the Hero once again?
How to Train Your Dragon is now a major DreamWorks franchise starring Gerard Butler, Cate Blanchett and Jonah Hill and the TV series, Riders of Berk, can be seen on CBeebies and Cartoon Network.

This book was very lonely at the start of the book but then it ended happily ever after. But the jewel was then placed into evil hands in the end. I’m sure that a boy called Hiccup will be crowned king of the Wildwest because that is mainly Hiccups goal to be crowned king.
I liked this book because it is sort of carrying on the story from the previous book in the series.
I really liked it.
I liked hiccup the best(fiction).
I would recommend it to people who like quests and dragons.
My favourite httyd! an absolute whirlwind of fun! my favourite characters are definitely Camicazi, Stormfly and Toothless! I love this book toooo much!

Hiccup’s toe is digested and shrivels up!

I liked Hiccup the best because even though he couldn't get past everything, he did not give up.
I would recommend everyone to read this book if they like fiction.

How to train your dragon is a great book great for adventerous children and really intriguing.
I quite enjoyed this book My favourite character is Toothless because he's funny.
It was silly because when the narrator was speaking it would be in normal but in dragoneese they did the letters in a different style.
It was very interesting and I really enjoyed it because the hero was an outcast and he tried to rescue his friend. I would recommend the whole series to everyone that likes dragon and adventure.
Really exciting, you never know what is going to happen next.
Life is not easy for Hiccup and his friends and this is his most dangerous situation yet.
I liked the book because I liked the way the monster of the Amber slave land has eyes on the end of its claws
This is a great book.I strongly reccomend
I liked all the dragons!
I love this book because it has lots of different perspectives on different problems that come up in each book
When Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the III goes into the prison on the Amber slave lands looking for his best friend, his quest to find the dragon jewel finds him
I loved it because there were bits where there were 2 creepy stories inside the dragon book. I liked Snotlout the most as he was finally crying because he couldn't be Chief.
This book has so many twists and turns, but most of the stories told are are very sad and scary, like Egginarde’s story
I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in dragons and gems and heroes that are slaves.
These books are so well written, we’re absolutely gripped. The story is definitely getting darker now.
The book was a bit scary as the hero almost got killed by the monster.
It was well narrated.
I liked the Deadly Shadow Dragon in this book, because it can turn itself invisible and has three heads.
I would recommend the whole series of How to train your dragon.
I would recommend this book.
It was quite scary getting the dragon jewel.
Great!
this was very exiting
My favourite character is Toothless because he is cheeky! No wonder Hiccup is often mad with him.
My Year 2 teacher introduced me to the first book and also the Day of the Dreader, so then I had to read them all!
I love these books so much and have already recommended them to my Mum and Dad!
funny but dark
This was a really adventurous book. You make lots of presumptions that turn out to be incorrect. You think Hiccup will die when he is dragged under the sand by a dragon but he doesn't. I recommend this to my sister because she seems to only read Harry Potter!
