Barnacle Brat (a dark comedy for grown-ups)

This is a really interesting and complex book. The author manages to make you laugh while feeling incredibly uncomfortable, and at one point, I was crying and managed to laugh aloud after having turned the page.

We follow the main protagonist into a zany cartoonish world where reality and fiction no longer have boundaries. There are quite a few twists and turns that are unexpected as we follow the character further into his own madness. Hilarious read, fantastic depth, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Outstandingly brilliant book that I simply couldn't put down, read it in one sitting (or should I say one lying as I refused to move from my bed), it is only for grown ups!

It made me laugh and it made me cry. Simply outstanding - simply funny - simply dark - simply one of the best books I have ever read, and I read lots, it's on my reread every year book, so far I have reread it 3 times (OK I reread it a little more than once a year) and keep finding extra gems in it and wonder how I missed them!

Just buy it (if you like the genre) and enjoy, if you have never read Dark Comedy - this is the best started I can think of!
