Written in melodious and hypnotic ‘slow prose’, A New Name: Septology VI-VII is a transcendent exploration of the human condition by Jon Fosse, and a radically other reading experience – incantatory, hypnotic, and utterly unique.

This contains parts 6 and 7 of Jon Fosse’s “Septology”. I wonder if it’s necessary to start with parts 1-5? It is a very fascinating and almost hypnotising read but I did get lost occasionally. An aging Norwegian painter who is struggling to come to terms with just about everything that every happened to him in his life, everyone close to him, as well as his art and religion. Was quite thought provoking and lots to discuss!
